Easy Bush Walks south from Hobart
Billie Browns Falls: Get away from the busy walks and enjoy an easy adventure.
Take North Huon Road (C619) to Ranelagh where you can get items for a packed lunch at teh Ranelagh General Store. Continue on North Huon Road (C619) to Judbury crossroads, turn right onto Judds Creek Road. Climbing 12km into the sub-alpine forest, the road becomes a rough gravel track. If you have 2WD, stop early and walk the last 1-2 km, with 4WD a high clearance two wheel drive you can get to the trail head.
At the major fork in the road you will see a handwritten sign on your right showing the trail head.
The walking track now climbs for about 700 metres then descends to the bottom of the falls. Sometimes a trickle but after rain good flow creates a spectacle.
Distance: about 2 km.
Time: 1 1/4 to 1 1/2 hrs
